The Troutdale Farm was purchased from the
Gates family in June, 2002.
The Gates operated the hatchery at the Troutdale Ranch
since the 1950’s. |
We offer fee fishing,
trout sales to restaurants, grocery stores and specialty stores and to the
public. This is our major focus.
 |

|
|
Dennis, Merritt, Richard, Lonnie and
Kellie have made great progress renovating the hatchery and the raceways. |
The retail building has a lovely new paint job and new concrete
porches at each door.
|

|
 |
|
As weather permits, sidewalks will be added
and the parking lot will be renovated.
|
The farm has provided fee fishing for people
from as near as Gravois Mills and as far as Iowa.
| Our spring is sited along a natural bluff
where maples, sycamores and paw paw trees tower above woodland
flora. |

Many visitors have told us of warm memories
they have as children coming with parents and grandparents to fish for
rainbow trout. The Troutdale Farm offers this same quiet, pleasant
escape. |
Winter of 2004 brings early snow fall and lots of rain. The
fish seem to love the weather. We have collected about 700,000 trout eggs
that are beginning to hatch. All kinds of ¾" rainbow fingerlings are
enjoying the cold, wet winter Missouri weather.
It’s great fun watching them hatch and grow!
